Work Authorization/Visas

To obtain a Work Authorization or visa, you must contact your local Canadian Consulate or the Canadian Embassy in your country. Your Visa must be valid until the end of April, which is when our seasonal positions finish. In most cases It is up to YOU to obtain your own visa - Most Employers in the adventure industry will NOT provide Letters of Offer.

Note: in order for an employer to provide a Letter of Offer, they must prove that there is no Canadian citizen or resident that can fill the position they are offering. As this process is lengthy, costly to the employer, and usually only performed for highly-skilled and very specialized positions, most employers will not provide Letters of Offer.

Travel Insurance

It may be compulsory for foreign applicants to purchase travel insurance covering them for the duration of their employment, regardless of whether or not you think you may be eligible for Company Benefits.

Social Insurance Number (SIN)

It is easiest to apply for a SIN in person at the Human Resources Department of Canada (HRDC) . They are listed under the government section of the phone directory and are open Monday through Friday, 9am - 4pm. By law, you must present your SIN card upon commencement of employment.
