We are presently seeking a Transportation Load Planner.

Responsible for scheduling Trucks based on the Plant’s needs.
Provide training for the existing team.
Responsible for supporting the dispatchers and coordinate with drivers whenever needed.
Responsible to work with Operations team and ensure to eliminate the dispatch errors.
Actively involvement in solving dispatch issues and driver issues.
Provide assigned reports to Operations Manager on a daily basis.
To be available for a 9 hour shift daily Monday to Friday(with a 1 hour lunch), and be available remotely on weekends/weeknights as needed to plan and schedule drivers and trucks on preplanned highway routes.
To foster a good working relationship with drivers in your division with the purpose to limit turnover and encourage driver retention
To dispatch and monitor driver routes
To keep open communication with suppliers and customers with regard to route updates, issues, additions and cancellations
To assist in scheduling the department staffing needs
To keep track of assets assigned to lanes and minimize the amount of assets being used with respect to lane requirements.
3-5 years of planning Auto Parts, TL, LTL and FTL.
Knowledge in North American Geography.
Strong communication skills, excellent oral, written and presenting skills.
Strong knowledge in TMW, Load link, Shaw tracking and experience in hauling auto part shipments.
Proficient knowledge in HOS, safety and compliance.
Excellent interpersonal skills with high energy level.
Strong organizational skills: time management and multi-tasking skills
Knowledgeable in current "Hours of Services" laws
Excellent geographic knowledge of Ontario and North America
Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency while still paying attention to detail
Ability to provide solutions to ever-changing scenarios
Strong organizational skills
Experience in the LTL Trucking Industry would be a definite asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to learn and regularly operate various computer systems across different platforms
Must have or be able to obtain an Enhanced Driver’s License
