British Columbia and particularly the Kicking Horse River offers some of the best pay rates in the world as well a fantastic environment to spend a summer. We are based in an internationally renowned resort and as a result our standards for guest service are very high. Guides need to enjoy interacting with guests in a professional and courteous manner and be prepared to go that extra mile to provide that unforgettable experience. We are a small company that thrives on a great team atmosphere that is able to work within a great set of systems and are keen to improve their performance level everyday.
Job duties include;
-Guiding rafts down class III to IV+ whitewater rapids.
-Responsible for gear preparation and maintenance on a daily, and ongoing, basis, delivering safety briefings and demonstrations, instructing guests on rafting techniques, controlling large groups of guests, payment and waiver introductions, following emergency and safety protocols, ensuring other guides follow emergency and safety protocols, support and training of guides, providing first aid, CPR and river rescue when necessary, completing required paperwork.
-Working with a team of guides ranging in size from two to twelve per trip, guiding guest groups ranging from two to one hundred guests per trip.
