The world’s largest restaurant company is looking to add talented staff to our thriving team. We are looking to fill the position of a Human Resources Manager, Field HR.

The Field HR Manager will provide HR leadership to franchise organizations across Canada to ensure an engaged workforce. This position is focused on building restaurant and above restaurant people capability as well as planning and executing key HR initiatives and programs with franchisees of the company’s various brands.

Reporting to the HR director, the Field HR Manager will partner with the Operations Leadership Team to leverage HR as a competitive business advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategy and tactics to drive performance on key HR measures (i.e. turnover, stability, retention, training certification)
Drive implementation of performance management and individual development planning processes
Work with Operations to drive bench planning implementation at restaurant, area, and region level
Coach/train on use of retention tools, promotion process, external sourcing, selection, onboarding, etc.
Share training and development needs with Training Operations and be an advocate/ambassador for Developing Champions platform
Partner with Operations to build leadership capability for restaurant and above restaurant leaders
Influence franchise adoption of HR Technology including the Learning Zone and Hiring Management System
Use effective consulting skills to partner with Above Restaurant Leaders on key business initiatives
Culture Management includes culture assessment, reinforcement, and cultural change
Coach and train franchisees to assess for purposes of performance appraisal and the distribution of increases, rewards, and recognition
Actively build relationships with a variety of people including Franchisee HR Teams, Restaurant General Managers, Area Coaches and Restaurant Support Center

BA, BComm, etc. preferably in Human Resources and/or with an HR Management designation
5 to 7 years of experience in HR Management role (e.g. retail, hospitality or restaurant)
Very strong commercial, planning, project management, organization and time management skills
Strong strategic execution required to help the organization reach its business goals
Proven ability to handle challenges in a fast pace field-based environment with complex and multiple tasks
Ability to communicate effectively, work with a wide range of individuals at all levels, including within franchise organizations
Strong leadership, coaching, team building and influential skills
HR designation
Ability to travel 25 - 30%
