DISPATCHING POSITION

A small transportation company located near the airport requires an, energetic individual to compliment our dynamic team. The successful candidate must possess the ability to multi-task, perform under pressure and work in a fast paced environment., all the while paying attention to detail. They must also have at least two years experience in Dispatching.

Main functions of Position:
Schedule drivers to deliver vehicles to various cities across Canada and the U.S.
Arrange transportation for drivers to or from their destinations.
When needed from time to time be able to pick up vehicles locally. An Air Brake license would be an asset or willing to upgrade to one.
Provide drivers with road permits and maps where needed
Assist in managing driver files
Other administrative jobs as needed

Additional Skills:
Excellent customer service and telephone manner
Problem solving, critical thinking, good memory, excellent organizational skills as well as finding information
Strong North American geographical knowledge
Perfect command of the English language both written and spoken
Proficient in Microsoft word and excel
Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations as well as cross border trucking.
