Due to continued growth in our operations, we are looking for a Planner to join our Construction team on a project NE of Fort McMurray.



The Planner is responsible for schedule development, maintenance and monitoring activities to support project objectives.



RESPONSIBILITIES



Lead the preparation and maintenance of the Project Schedule.
Responsible for the collection of weekly and monthly schedule data in support of periodic reporting requirements.
Lead the monitoring, reviewing, and analysis of the schedule and status of Contractors during all phases of the project, including the analysis of any schedule deviations and corrective actions.
Analyze manpower progress and material information to support effective project management.
Assist in identifying the scope associated with schedule activities.
Report schedule deviations proactively on assigned tasks related to a discipline or specialty.
Understand various technical documents (quantity takeoffs etc. and activity sequencing) related to engineering and construction.
QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of construction industry experience with either an Engineering degree or a relevant technical designation.
Strong Primavera (P6) and Excel skills.
Knowledge of electrical projects would be a definite asset.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to forge effective relationships through all organizational levels.
